The power mimicry side of Roman replicated the power negation dampening his powers and negated back. Roman's trigger was a delicate and not normally felt trigger, but the worry for his brother's safety, the very literal, if not very hidden, feeling of love that made the worry present pushed his abilities against his brother's. And class against class, Roman had the upper hand. People around them moved away, feeling uncomfortable around the alert pheromones Roman was giving off.
Roman ignored the stupid question that came out of his brother's mouth. It was the least of his problems. "The parade? Are you bloody serious? Do you not understand that the whole reason you are at Willowbrook is to keep you safe?" He looked up toward the on coming crowd, shook his head. This would not be the best parade if they continued to stand so close. Roman's pheromones were getting out of control.
He grabbed Bob's arm. "Come on, we're going inside the coffee shop." He pointed to the building just behind us. His brother could watch the parade from the second story seating area and Roman wouldn't have to worry about too many people being affected by him.
