The last few weeks had been more than a little confusing for Lux. She had had literally the worst things in her life happen to her, and some of the best. She had nearly killed someone, and watched as someone disintegrated and healed themselves right before their eyes. She had experienced the fear and realization that her ability to disintegrate would eventually happen all over her body - that, if she chose it to manifest on whatever part of her skin she wanted it to, it would. She knew that it worked that way, but at the moment, it had gone back to it's normal strictly-in-the-hands manifestation. She was happy for that.
What she wasn't happy for, were all the things going through her head. She was making friends now, having to care about people and make sure she didn't hurt them. It was exhausting - she just wished everyone would leave her alone and she could go live in a forest somewhere. In a cave, that she pimped out with all the good stuff because she can carve rock like it was silly putty. Stone chairs covered in compact moss and dirt so they'd be comfortable. Books and books for days. A bit of lava for heat in a stone-made grill for cooking. Who needed people? But she was starting to realize that she did. She needed people. And because of that, she needed to control her abilities more than ever.
She had exhausted the training rooms as of late, and needed a change of pace. So instead of holing herself up for hours in one of those rooms, she opted to go outside and harass some real nature. She'd already been there for about an hour - working hard on some of the more refined bits of her ability. Shaping rocks, manipulating dirt and stone and causing it to rise and spew lava (which was the most fun, to be fair). She was causing localized earthquakes of different magnitudes in the small area, though nothing that would ever be noticed, and breaking up the entire area before fixing it again. But she wanted to work on the things that were more difficult for her - like heavy lifting.
And so began what she had been working on with Asher that ended up with the both of them in the medical wing - the lifting and movement of different sizes of rock. Mostly she was working with head-sized rocks, maybe a little bigger here and there, and juggling them, tossing them here and there. Some escaped to landed behind her, but she was unconcerned. Who on earth was going to stumble on her all the way out here?
