She would feel it again, but Emily was trying very hard to ignore all the sensory overload. She did her best to focus more on Noah, who missed his dad but had a lot less going on for Emily to think or talk about. She felt bad for him, too. Ethan was beside himself with guilt over the whole thing. It was really a distressing situation.
"Oh, he was having some issues as well. I went over to his place and it just... Well, I think I might have come off as a little overbearing. I know he likes me, but I'm worried maybe he thinks I'm needy?" She was so embarrassed by the whole thing, really. "And he's been avoiding me. We've been dating for almost a month now and he hasn't even kissed me." She was starting to get a complex about the whole thing.
She took a bite of her burger, after he mentioned it being more well-done than he intended and when she finished her bite she shook her head. "It's perfect. I always like my beef cooked well-done. I hate to feel like it might still be moo-ing."
