"I'm fine. I'm not crying." She said, smiling. She didn't want him to feel guilty. Was that what this was all about? Because he felt bad for her? Poor Lenore, couldn't get over being dumped? God, she just wanted to leave. She had ruined all of this hadn't she? Ruined the only chance they might have had at being friends, with her stupid... everything. Because she was being a stupid girl. She wanted to cry even harder, listening to him sing that lullaby to Lukas. She took a step forward and walked out of his view, even though he kept stealing glances at her. Lukas fell asleep quickly and quietly. Connor was at her side soon after.
"Okay, let's talk." She said, turning to look at him. Did anything good ever come from let's talk? "What are we doing here, Connor? Kissing? What... I mean does that mean something?" she asked, shrugging her shoulders and raising a brow. "It doesn't have to but I don't want any confusion here." They could kiss, and that was that, and the went back to their friendship. They could get back together, if they could get over all their shit. They could torment each other for the rest of forever, wanting to be together but never knowing how to say it. There were so many ways this could go, Lenore just wanted to know which one it was going to be.
