So many people told Connor that he was a great guy but he didn't really see it. Sure, he knew he was nice enough and didn't exactly shirk responsibility but he was far from awesome. His mood could swing in a single moment and jealous wasn't exactly something he dealt with well. He generally tried to keep those facts hidden though. People didn't need to see that side of him. It was beginning to near the little boys bed time and Connor could see from his eyes that he wasn't going to be with them much longer, so it was no surprise when he lay against Lenore's chest. "You're so good with him," he commented half paying attention.
Her words brought him back full though and he shook his head sadly. "I guess it's not is it?" Lenore was no longer his girlfriend in any sense but that didn't mean he didn't still have feelings for the girl. He still felt a need to protect her even if it wasn't his place. "No," he answered quickly to her next question. "No, Lenore I don't. Sure, I would protect anyone from this school but with you it's different. I feel responsible for you, you getting hurt in my place mucked with me for a couple days until I finally let it go. That's not how things are supposed to work. I care about you Lenore, you're special." And with that Connor Fannar did something very stupid. Stepping forward, careful not to disturb Lukas to much, he cupped the side of Lenore's face and kissed her firmly.
