Keir couldn't have imagined this scene a few months ago. He likely would have laughed at anyone who suggested something even remotely similar. Not just because it was Prim, but the idea of him being in a relationship at all, that he'd no longer be a virgin, was hilarious. It didn't seem possible. None of it did. He also didn't think he'd ever be forced to go on without his brother.
"I hope so," he said with some hesitation. Keir had no way of knowing how he'd perform on this mission. Without knowing the details of what they'd be asked to do, if was impossible to predict his performance. He just didn't want to let down his teammates. If he acted to the best of his ability and was able to contribute to his team, then he'd call that a success.
Keir rubbed his hands up her back and tangled in her hair. "Part of me wishes you were coming along, but it's probably a good thing you aren't. I'd just worry the whole time."
