Lenore listened to him. She couldn't imagine what it was like having to be hit to use her powers. She didn't know many people with triggers like pain. Fear or anxiety she understood, it sucked but they were easy to access than physical pain. She felt a little bad for Alec, but didn't show it. He didn't seem like the kind to want to be pitied. He started asking about other factors and she shook her head. "I don't do drugs. I mean I have but not here." She replied. "Not on my period. Definitely not pregnant unless it's the second coming of Jesus." She cracked her neck. "I feel fine, nothing weird from whatever I ate because that would be... really strange. No flu symptoms. I hope there's no Mercury in the water!"
She laughed a little, sitting up on her elbows. "That's it, that's definitely it. The raging guilt I feel for bruising your pretty face is getting to me." She leaned back on the mat again, still laughing. "I'm not taking it personal. I'm focusing on it because it's abnormal, but that's probably juts how these things go as you get older and start using it more. It's just probably a weird little power shift I need to work through." She rose an eyebrow, turning her head to look at him. "I don't have other friends that would appreciate me punching them. Can I just run up and punch you whenever it tickles my fancy?"
