He looked her over like a new person was standing in front of him. Lenore was always one that demanded attention, and respect. She was not one to be taken as a so-called little duck and let it just stay that way. He would see. Lenore Quinlan was not some little teenager who was going to be pushed around and ignored. She was here, and she was going to make you pay attention, damnit. "Let's do it."
Now, Lenore was actually quite skilled at using her ability. It was controlling it the way she wanted that was more difficult. The subtleties, stopping it when she wanted it to stop, the amount of time she skipped, how fast or slow. That was what ended up being so difficult. Or, getting excited and keeping her ability from going off. Really, she wasn't so bad at that. When he used her ability to try and get the upper hand, she saw through it. It was a shimmer, he was slowing the time, and she could visually see him coming slow-mo at her. She stepped aside quickly, just enough to dodge him.
Trying to speed time around herself to get behind him, she pushed her abilities. But, they didn't budge. In fact, it came up like a resistance against him, time bending and shuttering. She felt simultaneously as time slowed and quickened, which made it almost normal time. "Hm. Well, shit." She said. This would be a lot harder than she anticipated. But, he hadn't gotten her yet. That was a plus.
