Alec gave Lenore a look in return, arching his own eyebrow back in her, while looking her up and down as if assessing her for the first time. Was that a challenge? Because Alec was definitely going to take that challenge. It was technically helping her power control in a completely disconnected way, right? Yeah, basically. He might have been a higher class than her, but he didn't have a better grasp on her power than she did - story of his life - but hell yeah he was going to take that challenge. "Alright, little duck, let's go," he said.
Slowing down time was not difficult for Alec. Other people's powers always came easier to him than his own, probably because they were just temporary, so it wasn't like he could practice using them like he was meant to practice using his own. He never had the upper hand with other people's powers because of that. He didn't magically know all the ins and outs of powers, just because he could mimic them for a short period of time. That shit took years to learn, and he didn't have years. So it was easier for him to call on those powers, but he couldn't wield them with the familiarity that the original owner could. But still, he reached for it, and time slowed accordingly, and he moved forward as he reached for the power, because this wasn't just a battle of powers, it was a race.
