That musing gave her pause. Was that a compliment? Or was it an insult? She couldn't really wrap her head around the remark's nature, and that bothered her more than it probably should have. Genuine or backhanded? It didn't even matter, really. But for some reason she really, really wanted it to be a good thing. And for other reasons she couldn't be sure that it was. Still, she'd spent so long with her head down feigning invisibility that she couldn't really see the harm in not blending in anymore. If she was going to be a freak, then she was going to be the best at it, and she'd be loud and proud as well. She appreciated his bluntness even if it was as confusing as if he'd had that subtlety that he supposedly lacked. Words were problematic because they could mean so many things to different people.
Someone, somewhere, probably had the ingredients to make a milkshake. As she was dressed in only a t-shirt and had been drinking, however, she wasn't going searching for said person or said ingredients. Besides, Tori in the kitchen, as the cookies proved, was kind of a spectacular disaster. "I gotta go back to my dorm eventually, yeah. Got class in the morning, and I probably need pants before that." She smirked. "Your furniture is mighty comfortable, though, and the company's pretty great. Did you know this chair is better than the bed I had at home?" Drawing her legs up, wrapping her arms around them, she grinned over at him as she rested her chin in the V that her knees made. She wasn't indecent, but it'd be a good idea if she didn't decide to hike her legs up higher. "Could just close my eyes and rest right here. Except that window toss would probably come a lot sooner than anticipated, huh?"
