I have reason to see it safe and secure from any threat," Kaarena answered. she left the second comment alone - the thought had certainly occurred to her, and it did give her some anxiety. some who knew her history might give him a hard time, or they might give her a hard time, which would certainly make him unhappy. If Rhiannon only knew, though, how hard Kaarena was fighting to keep him out of the very organization the redhead despised... Kaarena thought her son was too good for the things they did. she did not see one as right and one as wrong. But the syndicate crossed lines that Kaarena didn't think Connor should cross. still, it was his choice in the end, no matter what his mother thought. And that was the hard part - quietly fighting. Never pushing or forcing, but gently guiding. It was not an easy task.
"Rhia, they've not been my people for over a decade," Kaarena said, maybe a bit sharply. This was becoming more obnoxious than the blonde was willing to deal with. she gave Rhiannon a hard look, and then moved to proceed on her way.
