Kaarena sighed. "No, I suppose it doesn't," she admitted. She knew she was not going to win this battle. She understood why Rhiannon was so angry, and Kaarena really couldn't take offense to it. Not right now. If Connor or Lukas had been with her, her maternal instincts would have said differently. But right now, just the two of them, Rhiannon's anger was accepted.
Kaarena did take note of the squared off posture, but unless Rhia was going to start throwing punches, it didn't much matter. "No, you don't have to accept anything. Or be pleased that I'm back. Please remember, though, that my son is here, too. I was not happy to hear about the Dome, either. It's because of things like that, that I left there. Attacking children has never been ok in my book," Kaarena explained, her voice taking on a harder tone when she started talking about the Dome. That had definitely pissed her off, and it was precisely the kind of action that had driven her away from the Syndicate.
