"I know." She replied. Her grandparents had died. A little boy down the street, one of her friend's friends. Nobody particularly close and no one who's grave she would visit often, though she had been to her grandparents before, but still. It wasn't like visiting a mother, or father. A sibling. She shuddered at the thought. She had almost killed her family - well, she wasn't actually sure about that. Could her light produce radiation, like the sun? U.V rays that would give them cancer? She'd never thought about that, before. She felt a little afraid, and the smile on her face dropped, just a little.
Oren changed the subject, and she didn't miss a beat. She was sure at some point he would answer her questions but she figured right now was not the time. "Knew someone, owned some'fin like this back home." She said, looking around. "Self-serve, though. No waitresses." You just went up and ordered, the food was made that morning and you bought it and if you wanted they would heat it up but you would go up to get it when your name was called. It was nice. She turned her attention back to Oren just in time to see his eyes flick with purpose over to a woman, and she let her eyes follow. She watched the fork drop but slow, just ever so slightly that one might not ever notice such a thing if you didn't think it possible. She gave Oren a kind of knowing smirk.
Presently, Oren did decide to answer her questions. He tapped his own head to reveal what it was that he did but she hardly knew the terminology, really. "No idea wut tha' means but if ye jus' wanna show me how ta punch, tha' be brilliant." She snickered. She had never fought in school, had a good old fashioned throwdown or anything of the sorts. She had no fighting skills whatsoever, and those might be useful to have. Even if he couldn't exactly teach her how to use her own abilities. Maybe there was someone else who was better at that, and could tell her all the things she could do.
