Becca was thankful to see her sister. She hadn't run into her on campus the last few days and she really needed to spend some girl time together. It seemed like both of them were having rough situations, though Sam's was obviously far worse. Worse than Becca knew, even. Having packed a small bag full of everything she'd need to stay over the full weekend with Sam, she left room in the top of the bag to slip a bottle of rum that she snagged from the cabinet in the kitchen. Just because she didn't drink didn't mean there was never alcohol on hand. She still was friends with people who drank, after all. Becca also made sure to grab Seb's gifts and the wrapping paper and tape she'd need, carrying it in a separate bag.
She made sure to tell Selby where she'd be for the weekend and then left, heading for her sister's apartment. It wasn't a long walk, though it was just long enough for her mind to start thinking negatively again. It made her wince, a shake of the head not being enough to dislodge the thoughts. Not even running with Paige could fix this. She definitely needed to see the temporary healing powers of alcohol that it seemed to offer.
Knocking on Sam's door, Becca gave a courtesy pause and then pushed the door open. "Hey," she called, dropping her things at the entrance to free her hands. She closed the door and then pulled her coat off, carrying it with her as she walked into the living room. She tossed it on the chair nearest her and then turned to look at her sister. Becca gasped instantly. "What the hell happened to you?" She demanded.
