She nodded, seeing the bagel for the first time as Cordelia set it down. Once upon a time, at her mother's insistence, Flo had gone on a diet. It had lasted about a day. On the second day Flo saw a bagel. She much preferred bagels to diets. But she wasn't hungry at the moment, really, so the bagel's own special powers didn't effect her as much as they might have otherwise.
She put a little polite smile on her face and looked at Cordelia, because sometimes she liked to look at people when she introduced herself. "I'm Flo Lewinsky," she confirmed. "That's how I'm unusual, I can turn invisible. I'm normally very good at it." She did not go into when she was not good at it, in part because one of those moments had just been illustrated, and also in part because Flo didn't like discussing her weaknesses about being invisible. She wasn't fond of those weaknesses.
"Are you the new recruit? Not the one that got demoted, or the one with the blue hair, but the other one? Though I wouldn't be surprised if the one with blue hair also glows. You have an accent, don't you? I mean, I realize everyone has an accent, except possibly mute people, who would only have a dialect. By 'accent' in this case I mean one not from America. Not even Canada? I'm not terribly good with accents, I've learned. I've been watching a British television show and I have to turn the captions on."
She paused. "But I seem able to understand you. That's very nice."
