WHO: Oliver Nye and Rhine Hewitt WHAT: The establishment of a Code system WHEN: BACKDATED to October 20, 2007 WHERE: Hospital facilities at Willowbrook RATING: Low STATUS: Closed/Incomplete
It was against his better judgement, of course, allowing Rhine to go on rounds with him following a particularly grueling student mission that had left everyone involved rather exhausted -- including himself, though he had the very handy capacity to delay sleep and promote alertness when necessary. Rhine, of course, was incredibly stubborn, or he probably wouldn't have taken such a shine to her; she had insisted on rounding anyway. Naturally. It wasn't as if she was already overworked from school -- both Willowbrook and additional courses in healthcare. Oliver had spared her the lecture, but it was clear from look he'd given her when she'd started rounds that he expected her to let him know if she needed to leave.
He likely should not have been surprised when he'd walked into a patient's room forty minutes into rounds and found him looking nothing if not a giant carrot. Orange, he was, from head to toe, and with no justifiable reason for being so. It was rude, frankly. Thankfully the man was sleeping, or Oliver might have had to waste valuable time calming the man down before seeking out his most likely suspect -- whose initials had been penned neatly at the bottom of the patient's most recent set of vital signs. Oliver sent some encouragement in the man's direction in the form of REM sleep, before all but marching down the hallway to where he was certain he would find a particularly overeager student.
"Rhine," he called, softly enough to avoid disturbing or alarming the patients, but sharply enough to gather her attention. His eyebrows were lifted in that curious way he had that meant he was amused but perhaps unimpressed. "A moment?"
