Peter's clap on his shoulder made Al have to take a half step, but he let out a happy laugh. It certainly was nice to be free. "I felt the same! They held me for quite a long time! And they are detaining my books for even longer." Al sounded more annoyed about his books than he did about being detained himself.
When Peter offered him a drink Al held up his hands, "Ha! Thank you but I don't drink." He politely declined, "Unless you aren't offering me alcohol, then I would love a drink."
