Logan chuckled wryly, his eyes following Tess. "I didn't think I was the marrying type, either. But Tess was all bossy bossy and here I am." He finally looked away from Tess and at Madeline, his smile going from sarcastic to warm. She was a classy woman, with Tess's sense of loyalty, and Logan hoped he would be able to live up to it.
He shrugged, looked down at the sand. "Well, thanks. Few bumps here and there, but -- we've figured it out. As far as taking care of her? That part I can do no problem. I promise you, she's always be first." It was getting too heavy, Logan had already gone as emotional as he could handle, and he shot Madeline a mischievious look. "Now to get through the horrors of the wedding night with my virtue intact."
