The Starjammer was currently hitting the atmosphere. Alex held the main stick with a death grip, eyes on the screen that showed him the tolerances of the ship along side of the blip that was where Lorna was. As they shouldered their way into the atmosphere at high speed, he eased the stick up a little to make insertion easier.
Pete was manning the communications console, running diagnostics and ramping up the visual and electromagnetic sensors.
Which left Darius. Darius had been, by Alex's silent direction, saddled with the weapons and defense console. Alex just grinned as he rammed the ship toward Africa at speeds that were impossible, dangerous, and far too fast.
And far too slow.
But within moments, they were diving into true atmosphere and aiming at where Lorna was... he hoped.
