Who: Daniel and OPEN
Where: The courtyard, Sunday evening
What: Sundays are for homework, if you're a good little Crane - which Daniel is. But the homework's done, and he might have had a little something to drink to make the Charms work go down a little easier. And now he might be singing Garbage. It's possible.
It was an interesting song choice, probably; the album had come out when Daniel had been a baby - Wicked Ways and the rest had been something his mother had blasted when she'd been at home with him and finishing her mediwitch quals - but it's not exactly what he's usually playing on his iPhone, to say the least.
He flopped back against the grass and moved his wand like a conductor's baton, and the courtyard was filled with the heavy guitar and bass line from the song, which made him grin a little bit. It was only a matter of time before his tenor voice joined in with the lyrics:
"I've done things I never thought I'd do
Sure it helps to lose myself in you
A little time and I'll be all right
C'mon sugar let's go out tonight
Forgive your trespasses
And all that we've been through..."
