"Jake's smart," Charlie said loyally as she stepped back into the dressing room to change back into her own clothes and gather up the blue dress to be held at the checkout. "He transfigured my ring out of, um." She wasn't entirely sure, actually. "Something from his car, I think. Older boys are definitely better, though," she added as she breezed out again. She had the expertise here, which wasn't usually the case; Mia was the type who had a handle on everything.
"Like, Xander's fun, but I bet he wouldn't know what he was doing," she said as they headed over to shoes. "Or even the sophomores."
