Who: Daniel and Gael Where: Their room, Friday evening What: Roommate interrogationtherapy bonding Content: Well, they're talking about Leon...
Daniel was cursing under his breath as he sat cross-legged on his bed, one of his mother's healing spellbooks open on his lap and his wand pointed at the torn skin on his left forearm. Herbology Club, he thought, was perfectly fine most of the time, but naturally this week? After his parents, and Leon, and Emilie, and frankly more Leon? This was the week a fanged geranium decided to grab on and not let go.
He'd told Frankie and Rowan it was fine and shrugged it off with a laugh, but in the privacy of the dorm room, he couldn't quite quell the muttering - not until the door opened and Gael came inside, at least. And then, Daniel made an effort to give his roommate a slight smile.
"Hey," he said. "You're home late."
Of course, Daniel thought, Gael was probably even more bothered than Daniel by all of the...everything.
