Natalie raised an eyebrow at him and tilted her hat back on her head as she turned to look over at Sim with a slight smile. "Oh, I never like listening to all that bullshit talking," she said. "But until a couple of weeks ago, it was that or frostbite, you know?" She was intensely practical that way, really.
And she did like Sim. He reminded her, a bit, of the boys she'd grown up with before things had gone dark the summer she turned eleven. Maybe even a little like Adrian before Adrian had become...well, it was too nice a day to be thinking about her older brother.
