AU based on depictions of characters from A Thin Black Line and I totally blame David for getting me started with a pair of little feline brats.

The desperate and perhaps even psychotic yowling which occasionally formed the words 'NO' and 'Bath' were not exactly uncommon occurrences since the birth of Anthony and Cleopatra Gibney. Apparently, even as infants, they had found the very idea of being immersed in water repugnant. A feeling that they voiced extremely vocally while trying to escape from the instrument of torture, the claw-footed procelain bath tub in the downstairs bathroom of the Wyngard mansion. Juliet Gibney, called by some the black cat, laid across the mirrored top of the piano, with her head tilted toward the sound of her babies screaming. She was keyed to the moment when those sounds turned into something involving pain. Like most animal mothers, she was quite willing to allow things to happen so long as the sounds her children were still in the playful unhappy.
If it turned into the pained unhappy, then both she and most likely Kyle who was having quite a time stuffing his face in the next room, would be there in seconds more than willing to kill for their children. However irresponsible they might be as parents, given their general natures, they were protective of their little ones.
Cleopatra sprinted into the drawing room, hair streaming out behind her, light brown/blonde, and slipped under the piano still yowling and making unhappy noises. Juliet leaned over the side and purred at her. The little girl was soaking the carpet with the fact she was still extremely wet from her bath. "Yow!," the little girl said.
"Mrow," was all Juliet said, blinking at her with large green eyes. Cleo's eyes were multi-colored, one green, one gold. Anthony who wasn't far behind looked more like Kyle himself, blue eyes with wide gold rims. He came barreling into the drawing room after his sister and crashed the legs out from under the piano bench. Juliet chuckled at his antics as she always did. They both found their children quite funny. "Pants," was the only admonishment she passed in their direction.
A horrified woman came running into the drawing room with the necessary objects draped over her arm.
"Ah'll 'andle it," Juliet assured her seeming to melt off the piano in her direction. All of the servants knew well enough that neither Kyle nor Juliet were really dangerous to them so long as they weren't injured in some way or backed into a corner. Clawed fingers went across the surface of her sleeve and then took the two pairs of capri pants. The pair were far easier when it was their mother slipping clothes on their body. They had a tendency to bite and hiss when they were handled by the servants and want to turn it into a game when Kyle tried to do it.
Soon they were both in their clothes, which consisted of capri pants for each of them, Cleopatra had a shirt she could wear when out in the street, but at home she didn't bother and getting her to go out in the street was generally a problem. She was rather shy in that respect.
The necessaries completed, Juliet took off running, the kittens following close on her heels. Kyle was ahead of her and she only smiled as she barreled straight into him. The two of them rolled over, breaking out into laughter. That turned into a fourway wrestling match punctuated by laughter and the occasional sounds of bodies hitting the walls in rather significant ways. The kinds of significant ways which meant leftover dents.
Several hours later, the four of them were dogpiled on top of one another. The collective rumpling sound of them was enough to shake nearby objects. "Jules," Kyle ran his cheek along her hair.
She nipped at his chin. "Kyle," she answered.
"Jason gone yell 'bout the rug, the furniture, the walls."
"Ya want me ta take da kittens outside?"
"Least Cleo," their little girl was the skittish one and she liked Jason. The yelling always set her on edge for hours. "Tony be alright."
"Raight," she yawned the answer at him. She moved grabbing their little girl and swinging her up into a monkey position along her back. She'd escape the house through the kitchen. Tony, unhappy with being rearranged, stretched along the floor and then settled in a crouch, giant blue and gold eyes asking where Momma and sissy went to.
The soft click of shoes on the wood made Kyle lean back to look up at Jason who had come from the living room.
