It was not particularly hard for a man of his power to sneak into her room. He had done it before and he imagined it was on a night like this when it had happened. The rain had come with him to the Seelie Court and there was an appropriate clap of thunder that did not seem as loud as the beating of his own heart. It was not accelerated, it was even, a dull thud like a door being opening and slammed shut.
