Sally stilled automatically before her brain caught up with the situation and voiced strong objection to what sounded very much like a threat. However she ended up as a result of this conversation, she was not going to be intimidated.
"Do you often have to threaten people so they keep talking to you?" she responded in a carefully controlled, pleasant but firm voice. After all, the tone hadn't been aggressive. All the same, she saw no reason not to make her feelings clear. "I'd recommend you didn't try to stop me should I need to venture to the Ladies. Quite apart from consequences I see no reason to elaborate on, there are a number of people in here and I imagine it would attract attention. While that may not turn out to be a problem, I gather there are one or two people around this place whose attention it might be unwise to attract, even for you."
