Spike recoiled when Lane gasped, instinct flinging him backwards before his brain take over. It was only a moment, though, before he scrambled up and bent over Lane again, gazing in wonderment as he came back to life. He'd seen his share of vampires rising, but this - this was new. He watched in awe as the corpse became a human being again, colour returning to the pale cheeks, air returning to the empty lungs, lips pinkening and opening to emit a demented laugh, and blue eyes finally opening and staring up at him.
Spike grinned, sitting back on his heels. "Sodding hell, mate. That's one hell of a finale!"
