"I'm human, if that's what you're getting at." He rubbed the back of his head.
"Just I'm from a scratched-out outpost planet, not Earth. Humans get everywhere like a bloody plague by the 51st century. And let's just say they got very friendly with a lot of the locals." He grinned.
"Which leads to, shall we say, some interesting flukes in genetics sometimes." He raised his eyebrow, still smiling, but a little aggravated deep down.
He was going to stay polite about it though. He hated having to keep explaining all this, when it was really very straightforward.
