Any Master or Jack (Lis AU boys, lt_to_chaos - Finished) Ianto froze as he stepped into a hotel lobby, memories shifting and crashing back into his head, his fingers tightening around the cup he'd been carrying. He'd intended to get coffee. Finished the archiving work, and went to get a cup of coffee, and ended up back in the isolate dimension.
And he remembered everything he'd apparently forgotten. Or had over-written. He frowned, deliberately relaxing his grip on the coffee mug so he wouldn't break it. Though the thought crossed his mind that it would shatter quite nicely if he broke it, and he'd still have it perfectly intact when he got home. Apparently without a single memory of this place, ever again.
He drew a deep breath, shoving down annoyance, and carefully looking around. The hotel lobby, if he wasn't mistaken. He turned on his heel towards the bar, leaving the mug on the front desk. He needed something stronger than coffee right at the moment. Especially after forgetting something. He'd never forgotten anything before, not even about this place. Not until he'd left it the last time.
Looking over the selection of drinks a moment, he settled onto a stool, and requested a bottle of Ogden's finest out of sheer perversity. And a desire to get pleasantly tipsy in relatively short order. Just tipsy, he didn't need to run into someone dangerous while drunk. He chuckled to himself.
"Someone dangerous indeed," he murmured, carefully pouring a measure into a glass as he glanced in the mirror, searching for any familiar face.
