"I.." She didn't know what to say to the woman who was calling to her. Was she hurt? She couldn't tell. Her head was throbbing, and she was bleeding but that was nothing she couldn't handle. But she did need help, and to make everything much worse, the console had begun to spit out smoke at her. Perfect!
Jenny coughed rather loudly and waved her hand in front of her face. Trying to keep the smoke away from her lungs and to prevent herself from inhaling any more of it. She needed to get out of her, but she couldn't move! That was very bad. What if the ship was on fire? If the fire moved towards the tanks in the back... Jenny didn't want to think about that. She needed to think about how to get out. But thinking was hurting.
"My head hurts, and I think I'm stuck." She called out. She sounded a bit sleepy, but she wasn't sleepy. Was she? It was hard to tell with the throbbing. "Maybe you can find something to pry the door away? If it was gone I might be able to get out. Or at least get some air." She coughed a few more times and covered her mouth with one hand as her other felt around for something to cut the straps off of her.
