Sally walked out of the shop. Larry had taken over and she couldn't wait to get home. There was just nothing to do if almost no people came into the store. She was bored to hell.
The streets were empty. Most people still didn't like to be outside. Not that being at home was any safer if there was another alien attack.
Walking down the street she thought about what to do with the rest of the day. She could go out and take some pictures. Or maybe call Sarah Jane. She liked the older woman. But that might be a little pushy.
She then suddenly saw something in the sky. It was falling and came down rather fast.
"Oh my god", she exclaimed. It was a spaceship! And it was coming towards her.
She stared up as the little ship flew a few feet over her head and then crashed some feet away. There was a loud noise and smoke started erupting.
Without even thinking Sally walked towards the ship. A few feet away she stopped, realizing that it might not be the best idea to approach an alien ship. Aliens usually were hostile after all. She however didn't manage to walk away. The ship looked badly damaged. There were cracks in it and Sally could see parts of the interior. She couldn't make out specifics however as she was still standing a few feet away, hiding behind a car.
Maybe she should call someone? But who? The police? No, they wouldn't know what to do. Sarah Jane maybe? Yes, she would call her.
While pulling her mobile out Sally then heard a voice. It was faint and she hesitated, trying to hear it better.
"...Help? Please?"
It sounded human. It probably wasn't, as she didn't think humans were in space ships. Or maybe they were, who knew? The government and newspapers weren't exactly telling anyone the truth.
"Hello?", she then called. "Where are you?" If the person inside the ship needed help she couldn't just stand back and do nothing. "Are you hurt?"
