The doctors eyes narrowed. He really didn't want to talk or even think about that.
He just nodded, not willing to say anything. Then his look darkened even more. He had wondered about that himself. What if he had given Rose more time to think about it, what if there had been more time? Would she have chosen him or the other doctor, the one that could grow old with her? He would never know and maybe it was better that way. At least he could hope now.
The doctor looked at Jack, unsure how to answer. But then they were interrupted and the doctor was glad for the distraction.
Kneeling down next to Martha the doctor looked at Mickey as well. He was alive, but obviously not conscious. He then looked at the paper with the message in his hand and frowned. He had a bad feeling about this. First a warning about a bad alien virus and then a member of Torchwood down? Maybe it was a coincidence, but the doctor didn't really believe in them.
