Who: Heidi Where: Volterra, Italy When: April 22, 2009; about 3AM. What: Heidi leaving the Volturi. Why: To get Heidi involved in the storyline. Rating: PG at the most. Status: Complete
Wow. What a day. Heidi thought to herself. It had not been pleasant, but it was the beginning of her new life, a life away from the Volturi. Heidi was certainly excited, but scared at the same time. She's been with the Volturi for centuries, and even before that, she was with her creator, Henry, so she's never been on her own before. This was new, but she always loved a little adventure.
She opened her huge closet, and began grabbing all of her clothes as quickly as possible and packing them in her oversized suitcase. She was in a hurry because she could feel Chelsea's powers at work. The longer Heidi took to leave, the harder it would be to resist Chelsea's powers. Chelsea was trying her best to strengthen Heidi's loyalty to stay with the Volturi, clearly following an order from Aro. Aro was not happy when Heidi requested to leave the Volturi. He tried his best to convince her to stay, but Heidi was determined to leave. When asked why, she told the truth - she needed a change, a new life, a new start. Heidi wasn't too valuable to the Volturi, after all, all she did was the hunting. Aro could simply send Demetri and Felix out to do that, sure it would be much harder for them, but Aro wasn't going to risk his reputation on forcing Heidi to stay.
She was done in about 5 minutes, having the advantage of super speed. She said her goodbyes to her closest friends, Demetri, Felix, Alec and Jane. Chelsea was still busy trying to make Heidi stay, but it was easier to resist it if you knew that she was doing it. Heidi darted out before it was too late. She ran all the way to the airport, luckily she chose to do this at a time when most humans were asleep, so she didn't cause any suspicion. When she got to the airport, she took one look at the first few flights, and decided on one. She turned to the lady at the ticket sales counter and said: "One ticket to Seattle, please."
