Umbridge needed to be stopped. Fred and George had been loudly furious about the disbanding of Quidditch. George had offered (threatened) to go and lodge a complaint (straight up Umbridge's ample arse), but had been ordered to sit down and shut up, more or less. Which was probably for the best, since Angelina had managed to get them back up and running again on her own, while George might have just gotten himself put into detention for the rest of his existence.
But just because the old bat had let them play didn't mean that George wasn't still fighting mad about the whole thing. It was he and Fredders last bloody year, and while the new rules were entertaining in some ways (he'd taken to running an ongoing challenge with a reward of a sampler of WWW products to whoever broke the most of them in a single day), mostly they were just making a cock up of his seventh year and he was sick of it.
He might not actually thing Trewlawney was anything but a nutter, but George didn't think she should be kicked out of her job. And watching Umbridge skulk about with her obnoxious little voice and pinched face was getting on his last nerve.
They'd all worked out a bit of violence during practice, but George hung about afterward, knocking about a few practice bludgers and then summoning them back. He hovered in front of the Slytherin stands, and pictured faces he didn't like, whacking the bludger toward them with satisfying twhacks of the bat.
If only he could actually have a go at a few of the faces he was picturing.
