Vincent had been ecstatic to make it onto the Quidditch team at the Slytherin try outs. He had always enjoyed flying and playing Quidditch but had been worried that he wasn't good enough for the team. Oh, he was aware that the beater needed strength and he did have that but no matter how many times he had been told he was a good flyer he worried that he wasn't good enough. He was never good enough at anything, all his life he had been told that. Of course he knew a lot of it came from his learning disability but combined with that, his looks and his just general personality he didn't have much faith in any of his abilities. Of course he hoped that he would live up to his and the teams expectations. Though he was working with Goyle he felt more comfortable, the two of them got on well and worked well together considering they were similar in a lot of ways.
He had been sitting in the common room attempting to do some of his homework and he swore he could feel eyes on him. He might have been a follower of Draco but a part from that he didn't have much in the way of power within his house and he swore people continually judged him for that.
Which was one of the reasons he had given up on doing his homework, grabbed his broom and headed out to the Quidditch Pitch - the other reason being he just didn't understand it as per usual. Sometimes Crabbe really hated his inability to learn, to retain information like other people could. Sure some of it was an act for the rest of the school but he truly did struggle with it more than he liked to admit.
Crabbe had always enjoyed the freedom of being on the broom and tonight was no different. He hoped to spend a couple of hours flying, not just to escape the stares of his house mates but so he could improve his mood. Straddling his broom, he pushed up off the ground, letting the air rush past him as he did. He started out with a few laps around the pitch before doing a few dives and the like. A part of him wanted to try the Wronski Feint but he didn't want to be embarrassed in-case he failed, which he probably would have so he passed on that one. Instead he just ended up repeating the loops and dives for awhile varying his speed and angle of the broom as he did so.
Finally, the sun started to set and Crabbe decided it was time to head in. He passed a few students on the way back and ignored them for the most part though he did glare at the few Gryffindor's he passed. Still, he was feeling better and that was good in his mind. Now he just had to finish his homework but thankfully Umbridge had let him off for the rest of the year which was one of the many good things she had done so far at the school.
