Daniel wasn't sure if Landry and Jack believed their story or not. Most likely they didn't, but it looked like they weren't going to say anything about it. Besides, Jack had broken his share of rules. And, when Daniel saw Jack was trying not to laugh, he raised his eyebrows and shook his head.
He was about to say something but stopped when Sam asked if Caitlin and him could stay longer. He looked down at the floor to hide the smile on his face. When Landry approved it, Daniel looked up. "Thank you, sir," he said before Jack asked his question. "Clothes and toiletries."
"And for Katie?" Jack asked.
Daniel rubbed the back of neck. "Clothes and girl stuff, I guess," he said.
"Girl stuff?" Jack asked as he raised his eyebrows. "I'm not looking through my daughter's things for girl stuff!"
"Then get someone to help you!"
Landry raised his hand. "Just have Caitlin call through later. SG-5 is supposed to check-in soon. I'll talk to you later, Colonel. Have a nice day," he said before cutting the connection.
Daniel let out the breath he was holding and looked at Sam. "Thank you for doing that for me," he said with a soft smile.
