Sam glanced back at Daniel, glad that he wasn't too hungover that he couldn't play along with this. She knew that Landry and Jack probably knew that they were bullshitting them, but she also knew that if they could cover this up with an official enough looking report, they'd drop the matter. She knew them - especially Jack - well enough. There was no way that they'd want to lose people like Daniel or Caitlin from the project, so if there was a way to cover it up, they'd take it.
Plus, a faked report was a hell of a lot less paperwork than what it took when someone was fired. Especially when it came to the non-disclosure agreements. It was why most people where simply reassigned somewhere they couldn't make trouble instead of being fired.
When Landry asked when they could expect them back, Sam cleared her throat. "Sir, I was hoping they could stay for at least the next week. We have several projects here that they could be a help with. There's several artifacts that Doctors McKay and Sheppard have been working on that need a translator, and Doctor Grant's could use some help in his department."
While Landry looked at her, she could see Jack trying not to laugh. She knew he knew how much Daniel and Caitlin both wanted to be here.
"All right," Landry finally said. "We'll talk in a few days."
"Want me to send anything through for you and Katie?" Jack asked Daniel. "I imagine you guys didn't stop for clothing in your rush to get there to help."
