Daniel continued to look at Sam, his chest tightening as she spoke. The break-up had been horrible, and Daniel knew he did nothing to help matters by throwing Sam an attitude. He knew she had nothing to do with the IOA and SGC denying his request to go to Atlantis. Yet, in the end, he had hurt her because of it. "When Woosley called me into that conference room, I knew they weren't going to let me come here. I was angry at them but I couldn't show them my displeasure so I took it out on you. I never meant to hurt you, Sam," he told her.
As she told him it was a good thing he'd came, Daniel's eyes widened. How in the hell would him coming there, drunk, would be a good thing. Soon, she was telling him why and Daniel felt his chest tighten as many different emotions washed over him. Was she saying what he thought she was saying? She wasn't going to marry Carson? He thickly swallowed and smiled.
"I love you, too, Sam. I never stopped," he said before he pulled his hands away from hers. He reached up and cupped her face before leaning forward to give her a soft kiss. When they pulled back, he looked into her eyes for a long moment.
"What are we going to do now?" Daniel asked her. If his head didn't feel like someone was hitting it with a bat, he might have an answer, but he didn't.
