Daniel looked up at Sam as she came over to him. When she helped him stand, he gave her a goofy grin before stumbling a little. "I don't know where your quarters are," he said as his grin turned into a frown. "What if I get lost? Will you come find me?"
"I got lost once. Ford had to come find me," Caitlin said while she stood and stumbled into Carson. She looked at him for a moment and sighed. "Sorry."
Soon, they were on the transporter. Daniel had never been on anything like it before and jumped in surprise when it only took them a second to get to the city's living areas. He stopped and stared at the door for a long moment. "What was that?"
"Transporter," Caitlin answered before grabbing Carson's arm. "Carson! Guess what! I have a turtle! Remember when we talked about getting a pet turtle? I got one! I named him Greeny 'cause he's green!"
Daniel started to snicker as they were lead to Sam's and Carson's quarters. "Jack wants to make turtle soup out of him," he laughed.
"Hey! That's not nice," Caitlin said. She stopped in her tracks and kicked at Daniel but missed him by a mile. She then crossed her arms and looked around. "Why is it so hot in here?"
"Because you still have your jacket and hat on," Daniel said before he turned and looked at Sam. "It was snowing when we left. Remember when we went to that park and made the snowman? That was fun. I miss doing things with you." He frowned a little and looked at the floor. Some of the haze he was feeling was starting to wear off and the situation was become a bit clearer.
Oh God, he was an ass. What in the hell was he doing?
Looking at Sam, he frowned. "I'm sorry," he quietly said.
