Carson smiled as they walked into the lab. He really had missed spending time here, but it hadn't felt right to go there without her. This was their place. No one else knew about it, or at least no one cared about it.
Setting his food down for a moment, he went over to the large picture window and touched it to lighten the tint on the windows. He didn't let it go completely transparent, however, not wanting to overwhelm Cait since he was sure she was still dealing with the aftereffects of the alcohol that she and Daniel had consumed the night before. He just let it lighten enough that some of the sunshine could come in and they could see some of the ocean view.
"I never liked dusting either," he admitted. "More often than not, I'd forget to dust my flat, and I'd end up in a sneezing fit one of the rare evenings I actually was home."
He then went over and picked up his food before going to sit down next to her on the couch. "Besides delivering a baby in the first time that I can remember in a long while?" he asked with a laugh. "I've been continuing my research on the Wraith. And been keeping busy in the infirmary. But Jennifer's been a huge help - she says she doesn't want to become a chief medical officer, but I think she'd be good."
He took a bite of his muffin and swallowed. "What about you? What's been going on at the SGC?"
