Caitlin stepped into the dining hall and looked at the food spread. "This is a lot better than it was during our first year here," she commented as she picked out a few pieces of fruit and some water. Since she was still recovering from being drunk, she didn't want to eat too much.
"You were here before?" Jennifer asked before realization dawned on her face. "Oh, you're that Caitlin. Rodney told me about you."
Caitlin felt her body stiffen a little, wondering what Rodney had said. Carson and Rodney had been friends before she had even joined the expedition at the Ancient outpost, and she wasn't sure what Carson had told him. She had the feeling Carson wouldn't say anything bad about her but she wasn't sure about Rodney.
"All good things, I hope," she said with a small laugh.
"He said you're the best biologist the expedition had," Jennifer said with a smile.
Caitlin smiled back and then smiled at Rodney, just as he was asking Carson and her if they wanted to join them. Looking at Carson, she mutely shook her head before looking at Rodney again. "Actually, I have a meeting with Doctor Grant. Carson was just going to introduce us," she said. "Maybe we can get together for lunch?"
"That'll work," Rodney said with a nod.
Caitlin smiled and once she had everything, she turned and walked out with Carson. They started down the corridor and toward the transporter that would take them to their special room. "I hope you didn't want to stay," she said as the transporter doors opened.
