Caitlin was touched to hear Carson had thought about her too. She had been worried she was going to sound like a stalker. And, when he held her closer, Caitlin found herself relaxing. She had always felt at ease and loved in Carson's arms. "I love you so much, Carson," she said.
When he started to talk about her taking a shower and eating before they discussed things further, Caitlin pulled back and nodded. She knew a shower would do wonders and help clear her head. As she stood, she almost asked Carson to join her but decided it was best not to. They really needed to ease back into this, especially since they didn't know what the future held.
Going to the bathroom, Caitlin stripped down and got into the shower. She stood under the spray for several moments, thinking about how wonderful things were turning out. Carson loved her and she loved him, and Caitlin knew they would do anything to make things work this time. There was no way she was going to leave him again.
Once she was finished cleaning up, Caitlin got out and dried off before getting dressed. She walked out into the living room and smiled. "I feel a lot better," she said before looking around. "Are we going to eat here or in the dining hall? I didn't eat anything yesterday."
She gave him a sheepish look, knowing he was probably going to say something about her skipping meals. However, Caitlin decided she wasn't going to give him a chance and leaned over to deeply kiss him.
