With a solemn little nod at the way he said her name, she did her best to bounce down to the ground smoothly as the other man lowered her. There was a smile on her face, because this was kind of fun. Maybe she would climb with a rope next time, though it wouldn't be that helpful if she was climbing trees.
When she got to the bottom the other man started helping her out of the harness, but her squirming meant she got a little tangled up in it. Eventually they managed to get it off, and she glared at it a little, but when the old guy came back and started talking about climbing she grinned again, bouncing a little on her heels. "Yeah, I wanna learn!"
But then he asked about her parents, and she scowled. Why did he have to keep asking about them? "I can look after myself," she said, huffing a breath and crossing her arms.
