"There you go Miss Winderfield," Giotto said with a formality appropriate to the name.
He watched her descend, trying to concentrate on seeing her reach the ground safely rather than that last piece of information. There were unaccompanied minors in this group, but any her age had guardians and parents or other relatives waiting on the colony. The girl's tone had implied something else and that concerned him.
Tying off his rope, Giotto rappelled down in short hops running his own line out loop by loop. When he reached the bottom, he went to where Sulu was helping the girl out of her harness. "Thank you Mr. Sulu. If you have moment, I'd appreciate it if you remained a moment."
He turned to the girl. "Having a rope when you climb makes coming down a lot easier. I can show you later if you'd like." Sam knelt down so he would be closer eye level. "However, right now Miss Winderfield, if you don't have parents, can you tell me who should be looking after you?"
