"Oh, I don't know about that," she laughed, looking down at her concoction. "But, I appreciate the compliment. We'll see how it holds up with the replicated sugar," Gabby said, setting the cake down on the table. She wandered over to where he was standing, eyeing up some of the food he was going to grill. "I haven't smelled food cooking on a grill in... I can't think of how long..."
"Well, the sparklers will be fun," she smiled sincerely. "Keep the place from burning down, and maybe someone will upgrade you to something that pops. I'm sure the Captain can be easily entertained," she laughed. "Any progress with your modern paintball adventures?"
