Who: Gaila, Hector Wellman When: May 1st, very early [ 2259.121 ] Where: Deck 19 What: Hector though he'd escaped a riotous event. Apparently he was wrong. Rating: PG-13
Hector Wellman was not known for being sociable. Nor was he known for being the life of the party. While the tribble incident had left him agitated and anxious to blow off steam, Hector wasn't going to go into a loud bar with his drunken co-workers. In what way was that appealing? Perhaps it was his genuine disconnect with people that made him not understand. On the surface, he knew that people liked to go out with friends and drink. Hell, he liked to drink but he preferred to do it alone. He also knew that people loved parties. But that was it. He never experienced the joy of celebrating something with a group of his peers. It seemed like such a foreign concept.
So naturally he carried on as though it were another day. He did what work related tasks he needed to finish, ate, and went to bed. No one was really counting on him being there - he knew that. And no one was coming to drag him out of his room. No one wanted to see him cut loose and that didn't bother him at all.
While the others danced, drank, and had fun, he was asleep. He would most likely be the only one in the morning that would be able to work or at least he would consider himself the only one.
