Who: Janice Rand, Commander Spock When: 2259.074 / March 15th Where: Commander Spock's office What: Janice has an urgent message from the captain. Oh what could it be? Rating: G
Being the middle man, or woman, between the captain and his second in command could be tiring. The two men did spend a good amount of time apart and Janice usually had to deliver messages from one man to the other. They were often dubbed secret though if Janice were to judge, about ten percent were actually what she would label 'confidential'. Still, it was her job to take word from her boss to whomever he wanted to communicate with.
Janice made it a point to grab a cup of tea for the Vulcan as she made her way toward his office on the Science deck. He was probably done with the tea she'd given him that morning. though she was not his yeoman, she regularly picked up a cup for him when she was getting Kirk his morning pick me up. It was a testament to her loyalty. Spock had only been her captain for a few days before she was inherited by Kirk and then officially assigned to him. Still she felt the need to make sure he was okay when she was able. She couldn't do a lot for him but it didn't stop her from trying to add his duties to hers.
As she neared, the man she was walking to see called out for her to enter his domain. She went into the office and noted that it was the same as it always was, sterile and without any form of decoration. Janice noted the experiments in the corner and wondered if it was polite to ask what Spock was working on. With a smile she put the tea on the man's desk and took her PADD out from under her arm.
