Carson snorted softly at Cait's comment about Rodney as he caressed his thumb over her jawline. "Aye, that he is, love," he said before giving Rodney a grin at the look he shot him. "Don't try to deny it."
Luckily, Rodney seemed to be far more distracted by the idea of getting to "play" if they made Cait dinner. And when Cait mentioned getting out the video camera, Carson almost groaned - especially when she showed them what she wanted to use it for.
"Good lord, love," he murmured. She was going to have them both on edge before they even got to do anything.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he let Rodney tug him from the couch and followed him into the kitchen. As they got out everything to make dinner, Carson felt Rodney hovering far too close, the warmth of his breath on his neck.
"Rodney...she told us to be good."
"I know," he said but didn't move.
Carson shuddered a bit when he felt Rodney's hand skim his bum and knew that they were getting dangerously close to not behaving. "Rodney, would you hand me that knife? That's a good lad."
Rodney suddenly backed up. "Are you kidding me? Did you just call me 'lad'? I'm not a schoolboy, Carson."
Chuckling, he turned around and looked at him. "Aye, you're not. But it got you to behave."
He looked at him for a few moments before tossing a towel at him. "Don't call me that again."
"Never again. I promise," he said before getting back to work on their dinner.
