John nodded at Paul's warning about Asuran. The more they were finding out, the more he was starting to regret agreeing to bring him back here. The request had seemed innocuous in a way at first, but given that his people were so reclusive? What would happen if they weren't able to give Asuran what he wanted?
He turned his attention to Fred as she spoke to Sam about the ARG, knowing that it was probably a good idea to be prepared. Just in case. And they had no idea how long Asuran might be patient about what he wanted.
"Is there anything you can hook it up too to make it work, you think?" John asked.
"I'm not sure. We might be able to create a conduit for the disruption energy, but that would mean that a replicator would have to touching whatever we used," Sam explained.
He furrowed his brow. "Like actually touching it or would sticking something into the replicator work?"
"You mean like a sword point?" Sam bit her bottom lip for a moment in thought. "It might work, but that would mean getting close enough to actually impale a replicator, and if the replicator is hostile, that's usually difficult. I'll have to see, though."
Before any of them could say anything else, Daniel's voice suddenly came over their headsets. "Hey, guys. I found some information in my notes that you might want to see. Do you have a moment to come down to my work room?"
Reaching up, John touched his set. "We'll be there in a few minutes." Once the channel was closed again, he looked at the others. "Guess we'll have to see how this goes."
