Carson gave Cait a gentle smile of understanding after they kissed, his hand running through her hair - he was rather knackered himself after all that. "It was incredible," he agreed, letting out a soft groan when Rodney pulled out of him.
Once they were clean, Carson sat up on the bed, reaching down to grab his boxers from the floor while Cait went out to the kitchen. He slipped them on before lying back down and looking over at Rodney, who was grinning at him.
"You look proud of yourself."
"Proud? More like happy," he said, crawling across the bed and plopping himself down next to Carson.
"It's been good to see you smiling again." Reaching out, Carson touched his temple.
"It's good to be smiling again, actually." Wrapping his arm around his waist, Rodney rested his head next to him on the pillow. A moment later, though, both of them raised their heads as they picked up something from Cait. They looked at each other and were about to get up when she came back in, looking like she was trying...not to laugh?
"She what?" Rodney said, pushing himself up on his knees. He shook his head. "Jeannie..."
"Well, that explains the funny look she gave me earlier," Carson said.
"What look?"
He gave him a shrug. "Like she wanted to tell me something but couldn't."
"Oh...I am so going to mess with her about this."
"Rodney!"
"What? She think I'm having an affair with my best friend's wife."
"Well, you are, in a way."
"No, I'm having an affair with my best friends," Rodney said before kissing them both.
